We've Lost a Rising Star

Dr. Rebecca (Becky) Fay

There are simply no words to describe our sense of loss.

Becky Fay, an assistant professor in our Department of Accounting, was involved in a car accident near Roanoke, Virginia over the New Year’s holiday weekend. She passed away Monday, Jan. 2, 2017.

Becky was a colleague and a friend. She personified leadership and engaged our students.

She was a rising star.

Our hearts go out to her husband (and ECU marketing and communications manager), Patrick, and their two children.

She will be tremendously missed by the College of Business and the entire university.
