Joeroyal Evans

Joeroyal Evans is a recent ECU School of Hospitality Leadership graduate that has advanced quickly in his career. He is currently the General Manager for Aramark at Fayetteville State University where he is the day-to-day operations manager of a $4.7 million account. He started with Aramark in his sophomore year as a student manager at the Wright Place. In this role he was responsible for scheduling, ordering, and cash handling amongst other tasks. This position helped to build the preliminary skills for his current position.

As a student in the SHL he was also afforded the opportunity to participate in Aramark’s Internship program where he was assigned to spend a summer at the Citi Field stadium in Queens, NY. He participated in the All-Star weekend where he assisted in the production and distribution of food to over 45,000 attendees.

After graduation, he began his Aramark career as the Assistant Location Manager for the Croatan (Chick-fil-a and Chili’s on Central Campus). Six months after accepting the position at the Croatan he was promoted to the Location Manager at Fayetteville State University.

Joeroyal shared “My foundation in the School of Hospitality Leadership contributed significantly to where I am today. I earned my bachelors in Hospitality Management and in Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship. This education prepared me well for the Aramark interview process and made me comfortable speaking in public. In class I recall completing simulations on food costs and ordering, and used that knowledge as I made decisions as a student manager. I am eternally grateful for the foundation that I received in the School of Hospitality Leadership, and it has been pivotal to my success thus far. No matter what campus I work on or visit I make it a duty to let those around me know that I bleed Purple and Gold”.
