Club Management Students Present to Ayden Golf & Country Club

On April 18th and 20th, students in Dr. Cynthia Deale’s Club Management class (HMGT 3800) presented their projects to assist the Ayden Golf and Country Club. The club is located in Ayden, NC about 5 miles south of Greenville, NC. It has 200 members, a lovely golf course, and a nice clubhouse.

The general manager of the club, Brandon Robertson, is a graduate of ECU and completed a project for the club while he was a student here. Through his experience with that project, he was hired by the club and soon became its general manager.

This spring, students in the club management class are helping him to move the club forward. Students’ projects included recommendations for recruiting and maintaining members, suggestions for monthly membership gatherings, and ideas for kids’ programs. It is hoped that some new ideas can help the club to enhance its activities and operations.
