School of Hospitality Leadership student members of ECU’s Club Management Association of America (CMAA) colony volunteered on Thursday, April 27th at the Greenville Branch of the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina.

The Greenville Branch of the Food Bank serves 10 counties in eastern North Carolina that include Craven, Edgecombe, Greene, Jones, Lenoir, Onslow, Pamlico, Pitt, and Wilson counties. The food bank estimates that more than 149,090 people live in food insecure households in these counties, and that almost a third of the people are children.

The student CMAA organization, affiliated with the School of Hospitality Leadership and advised by Dr. Cynthia Deale, strives to go beyond the private club industry to get more involved in the community through service projects.
