Dr. Jon Kirchoff

Dr. Jon Kirchoff, assistant professor in the College’s Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management, recently received three 2016 Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence for his work in the International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management (IJPDLM).  Each year, the IJPDLM Editorial Board gives out four awards for research excellence:  one winning paper and three that deserve a highly commended designation.

Kirchoff won two of the Highly Commended paper awards for his research entitled “Reshoring And Insourcing:  Drivers and Future Research Directions,” authored with Kai Foerstl, German Graduate School and Lydia Bals, University of Applied Sciences Mainz and “The Role Of Absorptive and Desorptive Capacity (ACDC) In Sustainable Supply Chain Management,” authored with Jan Meinlschmidt, Volkswagen AG and Kai Foerstl, German Graduate School.

Kirchoff was also awarded one of the two outstanding reviewer awards.

The awards were presented at the 2017 EurOMA conference in Edinburgh, Scotland.
