SHL Alumnus Discusses Big Data

Eric Mason, an ECU alumnus and School of Hospitality Leadership Advisory Board member, recently provided Hospitality.net with an article titled, How Technology Can Help You Find and “Own” Your Own Guests.

In this piece, Mr. Mason looks at how big data is playing a role in vendors helping Hoteliers, Airbnb Hosts, Property Owners, and Vacation Rental Property Managers find guests.  He also looks at how data is helping social media channels deliver ads to the aforementioned types of companies.

As his article states, “…new and emerging platforms provide a level or sophistication that until recently were only available to large companies with huge marketing budgets. Today, whether you’re a Homeowner or Host or a Property Manager or Hotel looking for more guests, accessing this level of sophistication is now possible for everyone.”
