Supporting ECU's Rural Prosperity Initiative

The College’s Miller School of Entrepreneurship is proud to partner with ECU and its Rural Prosperity Initiative. The School serves as the regional hub for preparing students to take an entrepreneurial mindset and skill set into their communities.

Dr. Mike Harris

Dr. Mike Harris, the School’s director, points out that students aren’t the only ones who can use the School’s services.

“Our instructors and staff engage with community small business owners, family firms and other individuals who have ideas that can impact the region and the state. We are committed to helping communities be prosperous via a variety of programs we have available. From this year’s inaugural Pirate Entrepreneurship Challenge, aimed at helping students bring their ideas to reality, to our Small Business Institute, which has helped more than 600 clients since 1974, we stand ready to support this initiative.”
