Instructor Recognized by State Bar

Ms. Nancy Ray

Congratulations to Nancy Ray,  an instructor in the College of Business Department of Finance, for her recent appointment to the North Carolina State Bar’s Board of Legal Specialization.

Through a rigorous application process and a written examination, the Board identifies to the public those lawyers who have demonstrated special knowledge, skill and proficiency in a specific field of law. By identifying these lawyers, members of the public can more closely match their needs with available services.

Ray has been a member of the North Carolina Bar since August 2001 and has been teaching at ECU since 2006. She currently serves as a Pitt County Magistrate Judge and is an active volunteer with the Pitt County Guardian Ad Litem program, the Pitt County Teen Court, the Junior League of Greenville, and Tryon Palace.

She also serves as a board member of the REAL Crisis Center and the Pitt County Community Collaborative on Mental Health & Substance Abuse.
