SHL Class Conducts ADA & Safety/Security Audits
The School of Hospitality Leadership’s HMGT 4244 course (Hospitality Law) topics include the American Disabilities (ADA) and safety/security issues on hospitality properties. Recently, a class assignment divided the class into groups that met with a Greenville restaurant or lodging property manager or owner, who then became the client of the group.
Each group was provided a specific checklist of questions with every property being asked the same question. Using the ADA inspection format for restaurants and lodging, each group conducted ADA and safety/security inspections. The restaurants and lodging properties that participated are listed below. SHL faculty member, Frank Cox was the instructor for this course.
