The North Carolina Hospitality Education Foundation, the education arm of the NC Restaurant and Lodging Association, recently announced School of Hospitality Leadership major, Demuzla J. Bryant Jr. as the recipient of the Pepsi “Service that Sells” Scholarship. Pepsi believes that excellent customer service is the key to success in the hospitality industry and awards the $2,000 scholarship to ProStart students and alumni who are pursuing education in hospitality careers and have customer service experience working in a restaurant or similar job.

NCRLA and NC HEF President and CEO Lynn Minges stated, “It is NC HEF’s goal to attract, develop and retain a career-oriented professional workforce for the hospitality industry. Through our industry’s generous donations, the future of North Carolina’s hospitality industry can receive education and training prior to pursuing careers in the industry without the burden of finances.”
