Miller School Celebrates their Clients

The College of Business’ Miller School of Entrepreneurship recently held a client appreciation luncheon that included community members and COB faculty and staff. This luncheon showed the Miller School’s appreciation of clients who participated in its small and family-owned business consulting courses. Owners from multiple small and closely-held businesses who joined the Miller School’s luncheon included Gwendy’s Goodies, Parker’s BBQ, Kona Ice Greenville and OBX, Children’s World Learning Centers, GLEAN, Happy Hummus and Advance Mechanical. College Dean Stan Eakins also attended the event.

“This type of event and programming highlight two of the core values of the Miller School: engaged learning and partnerships,” said Miller School’s Dr. Dennis Barber, who helped organize the event. “We also were glad to have our partners from the Small Business Center at Pitt Community College to join us.”

The event ended with a discussion about how the Miller School can continue to develop and improve current programs to support further the family and closely-held businesses in eastern North Carolina. This event also complemented the Miller School’s dedication to becoming a leader in Rural entrepreneurship and family business initiatives.
