Deale Honored with Research Award

Congratulations to Dr. Cynthia S. Deale, professor in the School of Hospitality Leadership, and this year’s recipient of the Stansell Faculty Research Award from the College of Business.
The award was presented at the College of Business’s Annual Holiday gathering. The donor of the award is Dr. Stacy S. Klein-Gardner who established the endowment to honor her father, Dr. Stanley Roger Stansell who was a professor emeritus in the Department of Finance at ECU’s College of Business.
Deale has more than 80 refereed research publications plus numerous conference proceedings, book chapters and more.
Earlier this year, Deale was the recipient of the Howard B. Meek Award from the International Council on Hotel, Restaurants, and Institutional Education. She was recognized for her lifetime contributions and outstanding service both to hospitality education and to International CHRIE.
