Miller School Faculty Close 2018 with Speaking Opps
Drs. Michael Harris and Dennis Barber of the Miller School of Entrepreneurship recently served as invited conference speakers on the topics of entrepreneurship education and business succession planning.
Harris presented at the Second Annual North Carolina Entrepreneurship Educator Conference held in Wilmington, NC in November, and his presentation focused on best practices in developing client-based experiential learning courses. Faculty from colleges and universities throughout the state were present to learn about entrepreneurial programming and curriculum development.
Also in November, Barber was a keynote speaker at the Fall Conference for the Printing Industry of the Carolinas (PICA) in Myrtle Beach. The conference is an annual event for the regional chapter of the Printing Industry of America (PIA). Dr. Barber’s talk was on the topic of succession planning for small and family businesses.
Said Harris, “These types of opportunities allow us to demonstrate impactful thought leadership and share best practices from the Miller School with academic colleagues, business professionals, and diverse entrepreneurs.”
The College’s Miller School of Entrepreneurship is the only named school of entrepreneurship in the state of North Carolina.
