School of Hospitality Leadership awards record amount for scholarships

The School of Hospitality Leadership (SHL) recently awarded more than $69,000 in scholarships to more than 30 SHL students for the 2019-2020 academic year. The SHL has seven endowed scholarships and two annual scholarship with industry partners.

Donors and scholarship awardees were celebrated at the College of Business’ (COB) Scholarship Recognition Ceremony that was held on April 24, 2019.

Additionally, this year, three SHL students received scholarships that were open to all COB students. The names of the School of Hospitality Leadership scholarships and recipients are listed below, as well as the SHL recipients of COB Scholarships.

  • AH&LA Cecil B. Day Scholarship: Elizabeth Dunlow, Autumn Hubbard, Maddy Mize, and Hannah Moyles.
  • Aramark Scholarship: Nicholas Fair, Emily Gillis and Akecia Robinson.
  • Bodenhamer USA Scholarship (R): Regan McKay and Megan Mulvihill.
  • Carol L. Taylor Spirit of Hospitality Scholarship: Janna Sager
  • La Chaine des Rotisseurs Scholarship: Courtney Fulcher and Sally Hennessee
  • The Donnie E. and Linda Vann Lassiter Scholarship: Analise Benitez, Frank Bookhardt, Hannah Creech, Joshua Davidian, Bethany Forehand, Angela Hollowell, Megan Mulvihill, Emily Patton, and Shea Peatross
  • The Irwin C. Roberts Scholarship: Nicole Mayakis and MacKenna Ruby
  • The J.R. and Elgie Wordsworth Scholarship: Kerri Ann Jayne and Janna Sager
  • The Marriott Scholarship: DeAnna Barbour, Samaria Carter, Hope Cooper, Madeline Mondloch, Hannah Moyles, Claire Parker, and Kaitlin Sulek.
