SHL sustainability efforts, alumna to be spotlighted

East Carolina University News Services recently visited and filmed at the Umstead Hotel and Spa in Cary, North Carolina focusing on the Umstead’s sustainability efforts and School of Hospitality Leadership alumna, Lauren Avery. Avery is a conference services manager at the 5-Star property.

The ECU crew, led by Rich Klindworth and ECU Photographer Cliff Hollis, filmed and interviewed Lauren and the Umstead’s Farmer at the Umstead Hotel and Spa Garden.  Dr. Bob O’Halloran, director of the SHL, also attended.  ECU News Service is creating a video to share the SHL story focusing on sustainability and our successful alums.
