RISE29 interns blanket eastern North Carolina
RISE29 interns had a productive fall semester, working with 11 regional small business clients to help them develop new ventures and grow existing operations in Beaufort, Hyde, Martin and Pitt counties. Twenty-four students from various departments across campus participated and provided approximately 5600 hours of fieldwork. Interns recently presented their findings and final recommendations to these clients on Dec. 12.
A critical objective of RISE29 is to help grow an entrepreneurial network in eastern North Carolina by exposing students to key business assets and opportunities in the region. This program is financially supported by a Golden LEAF grant and managed by a strategic partnership between the Miller School of Entrepreneurship and ECU Division of Research, Economic Development and Engagement.
