Coming in at 18, the COB’s Risk Management and Insurance program landed in the top 20 of Business Insurance’s list of the largest risk management programs in the United States.

In a 2019 article that highlighted the RMI program’s 10-year anniversary, Dr. Brenda Wells, COB’s RMI program director, said four elements had made the program successful over the years

“Supportive university administration, hard-working students, an industry that hires those students and supports the program, and strong direction are key,” said Wells.

Since 2013, the RMI program has graduated almost 250 students, and officials say that job placement rate after graduation is around 99%.  Recent graduates work from eastern North Carolina to Atlanta, Georgia, to Dallas, Texas, to the New England area.
