Professional shot of Dr. Ericka LawrenceDr. Ericka Lawrence is an associate professor in the College of Business’ Department of Management. Her research focuses on ethical decision-making, stress, work-family issues and entrepreneurship. She has published in various journals such as Business Ethics Quarterly, Journal of Business Research and Journal of Occupational Health Psychology.  She has taught organizational development and change organizational behavior, human resources management (HRM) and business ethics at the undergraduate level. She also teaches HRM and leading with ethics and corporate social responsibility in the COB’s MBA program.

Dr. Lawrence also has been involved in the University’s mission of economic transformation in several ways. Lawrence is currently working with Dr. Jennifer Hodgson and Dr. Amy McMillan on their Engaged Outreach Scholar’s Academy (EOSA) project. The project explores diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) issues faced by faculty, staff, and students in the local community. Community partners will include various businesses, governmental organizations and non-governmental organizations. They will create a Communities in Action Council to help ECU faculty identify partners in the community that can address DEI issues.  She has previously partnered with the City of Greenville’s Minority/Women Business Enterprise (MWBE) office to provide a business skills boot camp to enhance the entrepreneurial skills of MWBE owners.
