Hospitality students virtually visit Morocco

Since 2013, more than 250 SHL students alone have compared and contrasted tourism issues and tourist attractions with their global counterparts. Daily live videoconference discussions, chats, and collaborative student projects provide personal international experiences that open student perspectives about other cultures and build the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to thrive in a global multicultural society.

The spring ’21 class wrapped up the semester recently with its third partner this spring, ECU’s partner university in Morocco. Dr. Cynthia Deale and her students shared tourism and cultural communications, including recipes and other cultural tourism strengths from their respective counties. Student projects focused on tourism and culture.
