SHL's Bae and Deale win best paper award

Drs. Stephanie Bae and Cynthia Deale recently won the best paper award at the recent SECSA (Southeast, Central and South American and Caribbean Federation) Conference of International CHRIE.

The title of the paper was “Undergraduate students’ views of effective online hospitality instructors: A scholarship of teaching and learning study”. The abstract of the paper is included below.

This Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) study investigated undergraduate hospitality students’ perspectives of effective online teaching. The 129 respondents indicated that behaviors connected to availability were most important while the least important attributes and behaviors varied. The results have implications for teaching and learning.
