Collaboration with Rural Research Fellows
Dr. Dennis Barber III partnered with the USASBE Rural Research Fellows and Dr. Eric Ligouri, founding Head of the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Rowan University, to edit a special issue of Entrepreneurship Education and Pedagogy on the topic of Rural Entrepreneurship Education, continuing the thought leadership in rural entrepreneurship.
In this special issue, the intent is to describe and theorize whether – and how entrepreneurship education and pedagogical approaches differ in rural and remote communities and small towns; how educational programs can be best designed to meet the needs of people living in these areas and leverage their strengths; and how individuals, communities, organizations, educational institutions and local governments influence this process, aware that the current social, economic and environmental issues require broad, deep and transformative thinking and learning.
