SHL Spring 22 undergraduates

Friday, May 6 2022, was graduation day for ECU and the School of Hospitality Leadership’s (SHL) recognition ceremony. SHL had 28 undergraduates (Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management) and six graduate students (Master of Science in Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality) attend the ceremony. The ECU campus-wide ceremony was Friday morning and the SHL recognition ceremony was Friday at 4 p.m. in the ECU Student Center Ballrooms. College of Business Dean Paul Schwager welcomed all to the ceremony and Dr. Bob O’Halloran introduced Mr. Dave Fussell as the graduation ceremony speakerMr.. Fussell ECU’90 is president and CEO of Duplin Wine Cellars and a member of the ECU board of trustees. Mr. Fussell delivered a positive message of opportunity for the graduates. He encouraged all to take advantage of the education and make a difference for themselves, their families, their careers, and their alma mater.

Dr. O’Halloran introduced the SHL graduates as the next generation of leadership in the hospitality and tourism industry. Dr. Stephanie Bae was the SHL Faculty Marshal and read the names of each graduate as they walked across the stage.
