Study abroad in Paris – Day 7: one last day

Today was the day we all dreaded, but we knew it was coming.

It was bittersweet knowing we would enjoy our last full day in France. But there was a lot planned for the day. We started the morning by making our way to the Seine River for a cruise. The weather was horrible. It was wet and cold, but the weather could not keep us down. Most of us could not enjoy the boat’s top deck, so we settled on the balcony until the weather got unbearable, and we went inside. We saw many attractions including the Eiffel tower, Musée d’Orsay, Musée du Louvre and Notre Dame. It was an incredible experience to see all those attractions in an hour, and it’s something I’ll cherish for a long time.

After the boat ride, we immediately walked to the pharmacy for our required exit COVID-19 tests. The process was long and difficult, with the test itself leaving everyone physically shaken up. Afterward, we were all ready to leave and enjoy the rest of the day. Everyone wanted to go shopping, so we went to the Arc De Triomphe area, where there were many great stores, including a mall and a Nike store. This is where we spent most of our time shopping until it was time for our farewell dinner. At dinner, we all had a good time enjoying the three-course meal and each other’s company. After dinner, most of us visited all the landmarks one last time. We walked the streets of Paris until we couldn’t anymore and dreaded the flight that would send us home.
