The Miller School of Entrepreneurship sponsored a trip to Atlanta that included faculty, staff, engagement officers, the COB dean, and, last but not least, students. Students had the opportunity to network with ECU alumni and attend multiple guest speaker sessions.

Arriving in the big Pirate bus on Nov. 3, Miller School students met with Matt Crisp, benefactor of the Crisp Small Business Resource Center, at The Tavern next to the new Braves stadium.

Friday – Nov. 4 – was packed with a lineup of speakers at eVestment, Matt’s former company that was purchased by NASDAQ. Speakers included Jim Minnick (eVestment), Lee Judge (Branding Entrepreneur), Grant Edwards (Fractional Executive), and Todd Ervin (Fractional Executive). The lineup of primarily ECU alumni stressed the importance of remaining connected to the Pirate community and provided words of guidance and wisdom as students prepare to graduate. Friday closed with a visit to Top Golf Atlanta, where the Miller School had another opportunity to meet up with ECU alumni.

The trip ended on Nov. 5, when the Miller School visited Ron Clark (Ron Clark Academy), who spoke to the students about hiring and reputation building. The Pirate bus arrived back in Greenville on Saturday afternoon.
