2023 Study Abroad in Italy - Andrea O'Neill
On the second day of our study abroad we visited Galleria Campari. Campri was founded in 1860 by Gaspare Campari. Between himself and his son, Davide Campari, they really transformed the alcohol and spirits world by being revolutionary in their advertising and design for all aspects of the business. Campari used artist Fortunato Depero to create futurist and colorful campaigns that are truly works of art that are fun, colorful and exciting to witness in person.
After our tour, a communications specialist led us through a thourough presentation of the growth of Campari. I was incredibly interested to learn how many other spirit brands they have acquired over the years such as Skyy Vodka, Wild Turkey bourbon, and Aperol, to name a few. We were then greeted with hors d’oeuvres and signature aperitivos at their Michelin Star restaurant, where a friend and I split a bowl of the best crisps we’ve ever had!
