SHL students celebrated at annual COB Scholarship Ceremony
The annual COB Scholarship recognition event was held on Wednesday, Sept. 27 at the ECU’s Main Campus Student Center. More than fifteen School of Hospitality Leadership (SHL) students were recognized for scholarships earned through their academic efforts.
SHL scholarship awardees included Hanna Billings , Chloe Pope, Sarah Rodriguez , Janelle Schwartz, Avery Thomas, Emily Orr, Madison Pearson, Adam Schaller, Corrin Franciso, Tyree Rubin, Sophia Insignares, Mary Grace Lassiter, Sabra Lucas, Jacobline Rasmussen, Eliza Gemberling, Ciara Haas, Summer Long, Miya Terry , Colton Craver, Makayla Lane, Olivia Winter, Julia Gillespie.
In total, $65,000 in scholarships from SHL donors and professional association affiliations were awarded.

- J.R. and Elgie Wordsworth Scholarship – Ciara Haas, Summer Long, Madison Pearson and Miya Terry
- Donnie & Linda Vann Lassiter Scholarship – Sophie Insignares, Mary Grace Lassiter, Sabra Lucas and Ellen Snipes
- Bodenhamer USA Scholarship – Hannah Billings, Emily Orr and Sarah Rodriguez
- Irwin C. Roberts Scholarship – Eliza Gemberling
- Aramark Scholarship Food and Beverage concentration – Hannah Billings, Chloe Pope, Sarah Rodriguez, Janelle Schwartz and Avery Thomas
- Taylor Spirit of Hospitality Scholarship – Adam Schaller
- Cecil B. Day – American Hotel and Lodging Educational Foundation Scholarship – Corrin Francisco and Tyree Rubin
