Help us promote our interns on National Intern Day

The last Thursday in July is National Intern Day, which falls on July 25 this year. On this day, we celebrate #ECUCOB students who have successfully participated in internships at various companies across the country each summer. National Intern Day was established by WayUp in 2017, and the COB began highlighting our students in 2019 with the addition of Melissa Parks, Associate Director and Internship Coordinator in the Cunanan Center for Professional Success. Since then, other schools and colleges across campus have begun highlighting their students as well.

From a business perspective, interns play a crucial role in the organization, gaining practical experience and fresh perspectives, as well as creating a pipeline for young talent. Internships provide experience, skill development, and insights that can enhance a student’s resume and improve career prospects. In 2023, the COB featured over 60 students on social media channels and plans to grow that number for 2024.

If you know a student interning, please contact cobcareers@ecu.edu so they can be included on National Intern Day on July 25.
