From the COB to the boardroom: Tiffany Woodward
Management instructor Tiffany Woodward currently serves as the Treasurer for the Beaufort County United Way. She joined in July 2024 after meeting the organization’s executive director at a local chamber event.
“While I didn’t know much about United Way or the scope of their impact at first, learning about their efforts to bring together local resources and support community needs sparked my interest. As someone already active in volunteering with organizations like the Alzheimer’s Association and a therapeutic riding center, I thought it was a good fit for me.”
Her most impactful memory is a work in progress. She’s helping to plan a professional development conference for the United Way’s nonprofit partners, scheduled for March 2025.
“I felt that the College of Business could make a difference. I reached out to Karen Kus (AKA Wonderwoman) to explore what we could realistically do, and thanks to her superpowers … we’re now looking forward to creating a unique learning experience to help local nonprofits grow their skills and increase their impact in our community.”
