ECU SAM Club shines at national conference, brings home multiple awards

The ECU SAM (Society for Advancement of Management) Club, in the COB’s Department of Management, had a successful trip to the SAM International Business Conference in Tallahassee, Florida. The event took place March 20-22. 

ECU placed third overall in the invitational division thanks to outstanding performances in the collegiate case competition, written case study competition, business knowledge and extemporaneous speech competition. 

Additionally, two ECU team members tied for first place in the Cvent challenge. In the Cvent challenge, participants completed leadership and development challenges through an app during the conference to earn points.

Individual honors include:

·      Andrea Knight – second place, extemporaneous speech

·      Nicholas Fenti – third place, extemporaneous speech

·      Shreyash Patil – third place, business knowledge bowl competition

·      Noah Presley – fourth place, business knowledge bowl competition
