SHL grad student spotlight: Moriah Clarke

Moriah A. Clarke earned her Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management through the School of Hospitality Leadership at East Carolina University. As a graduate student in ECU’s Master of Science in Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality program, Clarke looks to inform her cruise industry career with her academic experience and to improve sustainability efforts to preserve the ports travelers frequent and waters they sail worldwide.

Clarke has been employed for eight years at MillenniuM Travel (MmMmTravel.com), a luxury culinary and wine travel agency. She is the company’s current director of business development.  MillenniuM Travel’s “A Taste of Life” program features global vintners and chefs on cruise ships and the availability to participate in land-based food and wine tours.

As a liaison between planning and hosting services, Clarke curates and presents experiences in coveted destinations worldwide for MillenniuM’s hosts and clients. Her diverse background in international travel, marketing, web design, team management, creative writing, sales, event planning, customer service and more allows her to balance the demands of multiple roles in the company.

When she’s not chasing after the cutest toddler in the world, she enjoys travel, hiking, bird watching and culinary & wine experiences. Passionate about foreign cultures, you can often find her getting lost in art and history museums worldwide with her loving husband. As she continues her journey, Clarke follows the age-old adage: “the world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page,” and she intends to read them all.
