Provost Challenge finds its winner(s)

The third Provost Challenge recently concluded and a team of seven winning students will have access to ECU resources to help make their ideas a reality.

Dana Crosson, Yuvraj Desai, Abdulla Hroub, Andrew McGriff, Anna Overton, Kayla Peace and Glenwood Taylor pitched their app, designed to help manage stress and anxiety, as part of the Research & Creative Assessment Week.

The students had the entire semester to prepare their pitch and solution, which they presented April 9.

The Challenge posed by Provost Grant Hayes was for students to develop a solution for students’ health and well-being.

More than 24 teams participated in this year’s Provost Challenge. Each year, the Challenge’s goal is to blend student success, public service and regional transformation with the ECU resources, all with the hopes of finding new ideas that could drive job creation, health innovation and educational improvements in the region and beyond.

The Provost Challenge is annually sponsored and organized by the Miller School of Entrepreneurship.
