SHL's Dimensions of Tourism extends to China

The School of Hospitality Leadership‘s Dimensions of Tourism course is taught in partnership with faculty from more than 40 institutions in approximately 25 countries. Since 2013, more than 275 SHL students alone have compared and contrasted tourism issues and tourist attractions with their global counterparts. Daily live videoconference discussions, chats, and collaborative student projects provide personal international experiences that open student perspectives about other cultures and build the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to thrive in a global multicultural society.

This term, students in this class, which is taught by Dr. Cynthia Deale, linked virtually with Professor Guojian Zhang and his students from Hubei Polytechnic University (HBPU) in Huangshi City, in Hubei Province, China. The two classes held seven live virtual links during September of 2021 to discuss a variety of topics related to tourism.
