SHL Students Partner with Taylor's University in Malaysia

The Hospitality Management Current Issues course is the capstone course in College of Business’ School of Hospitality Leadership (SHL) curriculum. In this course, SHL students, under the direction of Dr. Jenna Lee, work with Malaysia’s Taylor’s University hospitality course to complete a hospitality simulation. The simulation is a web-based environment where all aspects of real hospitality business management are tested. The simulation focuses on strategic management and skillset optimization, while software products deliver training, knowledge transfer and real-time simulations. Students get to drill down on cutting-edge aspects of the hotel industry, which prepares them to enter the workforce upon graduation.

“Our students did an amazing job identifying strategies and presenting the simulation progress during this collaborative event,” said Dr. Bob O’Halloran, director of the School of Hospitality Leadership.
