Study Abroad in Italy '23 - Anzley Kemmerer

Anzley Kemmerer is from New Bern, North Carolina and is an Arthur MBA candidate

Today, during our study abroad in Italy, we visited Teatro alla Scala in Milan- an opera house located in central Milan that was established in 1778. With a museum attached to the opera house, we learned about Toscanini. Toscanini was the chief conductor of La Scala Milano and transformed opera from entertainment to an art form. He revolutionized opera as we knew it and introduced costumes and scenography to tell a story to the audience!
