School of Hospitality Leadership spotlight: Brad Johns

I am Brad Johns, a graduate of East Carolina’s School of Hospitality Leadership in 2019. I am the Sales Manager at The Hotel at The University of Maryland – a 4 star/4 diamond property in College Park, MD. Back in East Carolina, I could always be found in the front row of all my classes, and all my previous professors would agree that I was one of the most studious individuals they ever had.
East Carolina’s School of Hospitality Leadership helped guide me to a place where I could leverage the things I learned in the program – and use them in everyday life, not just in a professional setting. Still, I am close with many professors whose office hours I attended. I recently had Dr. Weber and Dr. O’Halloran review my resume, and without their help (and some red lines), who knows how I would have matched up to the competition. What I learned as a student of SHL’s program is invaluable, and while I did not realize it then – I was building the strongest professional network imaginable. From my previous professors to my classmates with whom I share my history, I would not be where I was in my career without East Carolina’s School of Hospitality Leadership. I will always be proud to say that I graduated from the SHL and will continue representing them every chance.
