Kus Named Associate Dean of Students

KusEffective September 1st, Karen Kus will take the helm as Associate Dean of Students. We have been fortunate to have Karen as part of our team for many years – first as an advisor and now as Director of Undergraduate Programs. Her contagious enthusiasm, dedication to our student population, and overall service to ECU has been a tremendous asset to the College of Business.

Karen’s dedication to ECU has spanned 16+ years. She began in 2000 as Director of Orientation and First Year Experience, later became an Academic Advisor and Interim Director of Orientation, and in 2004, she was named Director of the Bate Advising Center where she oversaw academic advising for Allied Health Sciences, Thomas Harriott College of Arts & Sciences, the College of Business and the School of Communication.  Karen served as the Assistant to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Services and Director of the COB Advising Center from 2006-2007 and in 2007, when the COB Advising Center moved to the Bate Building, Karen was named as its Director.  Karen was promoted to Director of Undergraduate Programs in 2012; since then Karen has led the office’s efforts to provide exceptional academic advising and co-curricular programs for our ever-growing COB student body.
