SHL's Deale Presents Educator Workshop to Ghana Instructors

Dr. Cynthia Deale from the College’s School of Hospitality Leadership recently delivered the Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE) workshop to Ghana hospitality educators. The workshop, which was Feb. 9-11, took place at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in Princess Anne, Maryland.

The Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE®) program, part of the offerings of the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute, is the only professional development opportunity designed for postsecondary hospitality educators around the world. Through participation in the workshop, instructors are enabled to:

• Strengthen students’ critical thinking and motivation to learn
• Share ideas with your peers, and
• Receive recognition for your teaching abilities from students, colleagues, and the industry.
