Office of Expert Services' BBR to support EPA grant
The East Carolina University Center for Sustainable Energy and Environmental Engineering (CSE3) recently received a grant from the Environmental Protection Agency to enhance sustainability and prevent pollution in North Carolina manufacturing facilities.
Helping the CSE3 fulfill the grant is the Office of Expert Services’ Bureau of Business Research found in the College of Business.
BBR Director William Rowe will be joined by the Crisp Small Business Center Interim Director Dr. Emily Yeager and the Miller School of Entrepreneurship’s David Mayo. The three will provide expertise for workshops and engagements with manufacturers.
“For example, if a recommendation is made to a manufacturer to make a change (e.g., process, equipment, etc.) to positively impact the environment, the BBR will complete a cost-benefit analysis to make an economic case for the recommended change,” said Rowe.
The BBR is currently involved with seven projects across the region. Though each project has a different scope, they all involve helping clients solve challenges and providing insights with data and expertise.
