Dr. Mandi Peterson is the Accounting Department Chair and an Associate Professor of Accounting in the East Carolina University College of Business. Her research primarily utilizes archival methods in the nonprofit, governmental, and auditing areas, and has been published in journals including Accounting Horizons, Journal of Government and Financial Management, and the Journal of Accounting and Public Policy. Her teaching focuses include governmental and nonprofit accounting and financial and managerial accounting at the MBA level. Prior to academia, she worked with KPMG in Norfolk, Virginia. She is a licensed CPA and received her Ph.D. from Rutgers University.
