Mark earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and his MBA from Loyola University of Chicago. Active in banking and finance for more than 30 years, Mark rose to the level of Vice President of Branch Operations and served as an instructor and regional President for the Institute of Financial Education. Since 1998, Mark has taught corporate finance in the College of Business at ECU and in 2001 created ECU’s first course in personal finance. He also serves as Chief Financial Officer for The Viaticus Group, a financial education company. In 2008 Mark received the Centennial Award for Excellence in Leadership for his work in improving financial literacy at ECU and in 2010 he became an ECU Leadership Fellow. Throughout Mark’s career he has advocated for increasing the financial capability of his students.
