COB Living-Learning Community

Program Overview

The College of Business Living-Learning Community (LLC) gives first-year business students a unique residential learning experience that connects classroom learning with residence life. Students enjoy the typical advantages of living on campus in a residence hall with the added benefit of living among other students who share their academic goals and interests.

LLC residents will live on a hall together with other business majors, participate in a variety of engaging activities, complete some required business courses in small groups, network with other students in their major, interact with faculty outside of the classroom in informal settings, and gain access to helpful Peer Mentors. Approximately 20 students are accepted into this LLC each year.

Program Goals

The LLC provides participants with:

  • Individualized attention.
  • Concentration on academic achievement in a productive and supportive environment.
  • Early and continuous development of leadership skills.
  • Overall assistance with the transition from high school to college.
