COB Scholarship Information
The College of Business offers approximately more than $250,000 in scholarships each year. Scholarships range from $250 to $5,000 per year. The COB is now utilizing an on-line application portal for all but a few of its scholarships. Online applications are accepted between November 1st and January 15th each year. No paper applications will be accepted.
Scholarships are available for undergraduates who have declared or have an intended major within the College of Business. Scholarships are also available for students in the MBA and MSA programs. Some scholarships are available for any degree concentration within the College of Business, and others are specific to a single concentration/degree (BSBA with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, Management, Management Information Systems, or Marketing and Supply Chain Management; BS in Hospitality Management; MBA; or MSA).
- To get started, visit ECUAward and sign in with your Pirate ID and password.
- First you must complete a general application. The general application will ask you questions about your involvement in campus and community service activities, your future educational plans, career goals, etc. Your permanent mailing address, major, GPA, hours completed, etc. will be uploaded from Banner, so you will not be required to enter that information.
- After you have completed the general application, including your electronic signature, you will be prompted to complete a College of Business conditional application. Only College of Business students will be prompted to complete this conditional application. YOU MUST COMPLETE BOTH THE GENERAL APPLICATION AND THE COLLEGE OF BUSINESS CONDITIONAL APPLICATION IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR SCHOLARSHIPS. Once you complete both of these applications, you will automatically be applied to all general scholarships for which you meet the qualifications.
While applying online, it may be suggested that you apply for additional scholarships that require an additional essay or question. In order to be considered for those scholarships, you must complete the supplemental application.
College of Business Scholarships are credited directly to the students tuition and fee bill from the Cashier’s Office. Typically, half of the scholarship will be awarded in the fall semester, and half will be awarded in the spring semester. Most scholarships require that a student be enrolled full-time, although there are some exceptions.
All applicants who submit a completed application will be notified of their application status via http://ecu.academicworks.com in April.
