Kevin Williams

Kevin, an eastern North Carolina native, has been advising College of Business students since 2005. In addition to advising, he manages the COB Advising Center and formerly coordinated the COB community college outreach. Kevin has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration as well as a Master of Business Administration from ECU. Kevin is married to Miranda Williams, a Marketing teaching instructor. They have two beagles, Hunter and Charley. On the weekends, you might find Kevin cheering on the Carolina Panthers or outside at his grill.

Brad McAllister
Associate Director, Advising

Brad has been advising College of Business students since 2004. In addition to advising, he plays a major role in knowledge management in the COB. Brad has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Florida and a Master of Education in Higher Education Student Services from Georgia Southern University. Brad enjoys playing on a competitive trivia team, traveling, and painting pottery. He is married to Elizabeth McAllister, the Director of the Pre-Professional Advising Center.

Mary Beth Allen

Mary Beth began working at ECU in 2012 before transitioning to the College of Business in 2017. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Communication and a Master of Science in Counselor Education from ECU. In addition to advising, Mary Beth assists with the day-to-day supervision of the office and developing programs for distance education students. Mary Beth and her husband enjoy cooking, traveling, and spending time with their daughter.

Melissa Bowers

A North Carolina native, Melissa received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from ECU. She earned a Masters of Education in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of South Carolina. Prior to working in the College of Business as an advisor, Melissa worked in Housing and Residence Life. In her spare time she likes to cook and bake, read, craft and spend time with friends and family.

Katie Butler

As a military brat, Katie moved around all over the United States before coming to ECU in 2008 and earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, followed by a Master of Science degree in Counselor Education in 2014. She is currently piloting a new program that works with high school student interested in pursuing a career in business through ECU’s business degree programs. Katie is an active member of Greenville’s Junior League, and enjoys baking, reading, crafting, and spending time with her husband and children.

Amy Eason

Amy has been with the College of Business since 2011. In addition to advising, she coordinates the COB community college outreach and formerly coordinated the COB Peer Mentor Program. Amy has a Bachelor of Science in Special Education as well as a Master of Arts in Education in Special Education from ECU. Amy has served as a senator in the ECU Staff Senate since 2015.

Chris Fortunato

Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Chris Fortunato began his career at ECU in 2016, advising students in the College of Fine Arts and Communication. He later advised in the College of Business from 2018 to 2020, before spending four years in advising at the Cameron School of Business at UNC Wilmington. Chris returned to ECU in 2024 and is excited to be back supporting students in the College of Business in their academic journeys.

Caroline Holton

Caroline Holton, a native of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, graduated from East Carolina University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication. She furthered her education at ECU, earning a Master of Arts degree in Communication in 2017. Caroline joined the College of Business team in 2021 and also teaches for the ECU School of Communication. A fun fact about Caroline is that she and her sister, Abigail, both competed for the ECU softball team. In June 2024, Caroline married her husband, Nick. They have two golden retrievers, Enzo and Fancy. In her spare time, Caroline enjoys going to the beach, playing pickleball, reading, and spending time with her friends and family.

Aisha Powell

Aisha joined the COB in 2016. In addition to advising, she coordinates the COB Peer Mentor Program. Prior to joining the COB, Aisha coordinated mentoring programs in the Pirate Tutoring Center. Aisha earned a Bachelor of Science in Family Community Services and a Master of Science in Child Development and Family Relations, both from ECU. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and volunteering in the community.

Christina Vargas

As a North Carolina native, Christina graduated from UNCG with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Prior to working in the College of Business, Christina worked for a staffing agency called Aston Carter as a VMS Delivery Specialist and a Recruiter. Christina relocated to Greenville in 2021 and started working with the College of Business in 2023. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, drinking coffee and spending time with her friends and dog Maggie.

Daniel Wiseman

A North Carolina native, Daniel graduated with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree from East Carolina University in Communication. He has been an Academic Advisor for ECU since 2010 and enjoys helping students (and anyone, if possible). Daniel enjoys spending time with his son Henry and his cat (or any new animals that his family has or will save). He is a huge Cubs fan and loves sports, music, trading cards, and catching up and staying in touch with old friends.
