Undergraduate Accounting Degree (BSBA)

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BSBA) in Accounting degree program is offered in face-to-face classes where class size is small enough to get to know your teacher and other students. You are taught by full-time instructors and professors.
Online
Also offered to Distance Education students, the BSBA in Accounting online option has small class sizes and comprised of students who are unable to attend the traditional in-person program. Students attending online will be in class with other students who are enrolled only in online classes.
Requirements
A student may declare as an “Intended Accounting Major” upon admission to ECU. However, to finally declare your major in accounting you must:
- Complete 45 semester hours,
- Have a 2.5 GPA
- Complete the following courses with a minimum grade of C- (1.7 and a cumulative 2.5 GPA over the eight courses: ACCT 2401, ACCT 2521, ECON 2113, ECON 2133, FINA 2244, MATH 1065, MATH 2228 (or 2283) and MIS 2223. These 8 classes are required of all business students and notice that two of the 8 are accounting classes (i.e., the language of business!)
