Students are welcome to apply after these deadlines have passed. We will make every effort to process applications in order for students to register for classes as quickly as possible.

Application Cut-Off Dates
Fall – August 1
Spring – December 15
1st & 11-week Summer – May 1

Students must submit an application and pay the application fee by the Application Cut-Off Date for the applicable term. Supporting materials (transcripts, resumes, test scores, etc.) must be received within 5 business days of the application cut-off date.

Rolling Admissions
ECU has a rolling admission policy. This means that completed applications are processed as they are received. We admit students for each semester and do not necessarily adhere to the ECU Graduate School admission deadlines for domestic students. Completed applications should be received by the ECU Graduate School no later than the date indicated for each semester or summer session. Please note that international students have different application deadlines.

Changing Your Start Term
The deadline to change a start term forward is 3 days before census day. The deadline to change a start term backwards is on drop/add day.

Application Semesters
ECU operates an academic calendar across 4 semesters: Fall, Spring, Summer 1, and Summer 2.

Semester Start and End Dates

Please visit the Academic Calendars approved by ECU Faculty Senate for more information on semester start and end dates.

Application Fee
The $75 application fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. Therefore, applicants are encouraged to not pay the application fee for their Graduate Admissions application until they receive their test scores and have confirmation from a COB advisor that the scores are acceptable, or their GMAT waiver application has been approved.

ECU does not offer any application fee waivers except for ECU employees.
