Fresh out of college, I began my career in public accounting, as an auditor with RSM. After being at a large firm for a year, I realized a smaller firm was more my style, so I returned to my hometown to become a Senior Tax Accountant for a local tax firm. With roughly 6.5 years of public accounting and a CPA license under my belt, I decided to use my wide variety of client knowledge to try out private/corporate accounting and became a Senior Accountant for the Hwy 55 restaurant chain. Recently, I accepted a position as a Senior Tax Associate with CPA Solutions, LLC, a fully remote accounting firm.

I would never have been able to accomplish all this without the help of the Accounting Department at East Carolina University. I am truly thankful for this program for helping me choose and follow through on a great career path.
